一九二二年，哈札布出生在锡林郭勒草原。他自小就非常擅长唱歌，在大草原上美名远扬。内蒙古自治区成立时，哈札布成为歌舞团的独唱演员，被毛主席誉为人民的歌唱家。他的妻子依德钦劝他回牧区唱歌，他执意不肯。文化大革命中，哈札布冤屈入狱。十年后，哈札布获释。依德钦却已去世。在录音室里，哈札布无论怎样都无法唱出那不断向上攀登又不断向下徊绕的蒙古长调。伤感之中，一首即兴随心的长调《老雁》成为他今生的绝唱。二零零五年，哈札布在他的故乡悄然辞世。二零零八年，联合国将蒙古长调列为世界口头非物质文化遗产保护项目。。由导演同名短片拓展而来，入围2019年圣塞巴斯蒂安电影节新导演竞赛单元。 On her graduation day, Charlotte learns her first love has returned to her small Georgia town for the first time since vanishing the year before, in the midst of an awful trauma in her life.
